In less than a week we'll be in Southern California soaking up sun at the beach and hopefully spending some quality time with Mickey Mouse. I cannot wait. I really hope Meredith loves meeting the characters, though I'm preparing myself for her to be scared. We are just so excited for some quality family time, away from home, with no agenda aside from what we feel like doing each day.
So! I also want to ask for any advice you may have. Have you been to Disneyland? Any tips? How about any of the area beaches? We're staying about equidistant from Disneyland and the Newport Beach area. If there is anything we just
have to see, please share!

I've got no tips! BUT I can't wait for her to meet MICKEY!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that she loves them and isn't scared! Have a blast!
I haven't been to Disneyland in a long time, as in before kids arrived on the scene. Not sure how Meredith's naps are like, but when we went last time it was on a Sunday afternoon since we went to church and had lunch with hubby's cousin's family, and we didn't have to wait in any lines because all the parents and kids were exhausted from being there since the morning. We basically walked passed all the strollers of sleeping (or cranky) children and walked right in. The longest wait was for taking photos with Winnie the Pooh and friends only because the characters were switching out of their costumes. I would definitely bring something to do in case there are long lines. I think, in general, the lines were always about 30 minutes long?? It might have changed since then. Take advantage of the Fast Pass. http://www.disneylandvacationtips.com/tips-secrets-Disneyland-Fastpass-tickets.html That's all I got for ya. Have a great trip!!
I live right next to Disneyland and take Jax all the time. In fact, we just went yesterday. :) If you need a nice, air conditioned place for her to nap, I highly recommend the Disney Animation building at California Adventure. Definitely take advantage of the Fast Pass. And if you can, catch World of Color at California Adventure. It is spectacular!
What a fun trip! I can't wait to see pictures of this experience :)
