eyes.

Meredith-65

If you are a mama, I have a question for you. Have you stopped and really looked into your baby's eyes lately? You should. You really should.

You know what will happen? Your breath will catch in your throat. Your heart will lurch forward and at the same time feel a weight of pride bear down. And then all of a sudden, you will feel the fluttering wings of a thousand little butterflies flying free in your insides. You will be unable to suppress the smile that will stretch across your face, from ear to ear.

If you were stressing about laundry or worrying about money or just plain old crabby, you won't be anymore. Because looking into those little eyes, be they brown, or blue, or green, or hazel, will ground you and remind you of what matters. And it's not money or laundry. It's loving this little person and letting them know you love them forever and always.

MELT! That is so true! I absolutely LOVE watching my 17 month old discover something. Her face gets all scrunched up and she looks at my for approval and when I clap or hug her, her whole face lights up and that makes my whole life. Don't care how crappy a day, that smile and those eyes will always make me laugh.
