Donuts.

I am OBSESSED with donuts, which I've shared before. I could eat them for breakfast everyday. Seriously. Growing up, we had donuts almost every Sunday for breakfast. I can eat tons of donuts and not feel an ounce of guilt. This is both a blessing and curse.

For a little over a month I was eating dairy-free to see if it helped Meredith's skin (it did not) so that meant NO donuts. Wahhh. So, this Sunday, with the re-introduction of milk to my diet, we decided to make some donuts. I used Paula Deen's recipe found here. They are suuuuper easy and suuuuper yummy.

First, you mix up the toppings. We made the chocolate frosting and cinnamon & sugar.

Next, you open up the biscuits, lay them out and cut out the middle part. I used a shot glass.

After this, take a break and stare and the world's cutest baby.

Then, you heat up the oil in a pan. Once it's hot, drop in the donuts and donut holes. They brown quickly, so watch carefully and flip as soon as they are getting golden. Once both sides are golden, remove from pan and drain on paper towels.

After just a couple minutes, you can either frost them or dip them in cinnamon sugar. They were soooo yummy. I much preferred the cinammon sugar ones. The chocolate frosting wasn't quite sweet enough :) I highly recommend these for a quick, easy, indulgent breakfast when you are craving something sweet.
