This time 4 years ago we were up in the air en route to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We spent a week laying in the sun, eating yummy foods, enjoying bottomless drinks and savoring the moments of our first week as a married couple. The thrill of waking up next to my husband combined with the surreal feeling that we had been doing so forever will remain one of my favorite parts of that week. It was a week in paradise with my very best friend. We got to explore, be lazy, talk, laugh. I think that's the first time I felt like an adult and I was so excited to have Chris has my partner. I really hope one day we make it back to that resort. It was such a special place to us- our first days a married couple.

looks like your honeymoon was definitely a great one! my dad told us that he had enough frequent flier miles to give us so we could go anywhere we wanted. we didnt even have to think. ALASKA! we flew to anchorage, rented a truck with a camper on the bed of it (nothing spectacular, simply a bed and a bit of storage) and drove 2500 miles just within the state. you are allowed to park and camp anywhere you want up there so we'd just drive until we got tired, hike when / where we wanted, and slept when / where we wanted. 3 showers in 15 days but it was AMAZING! i want to go back and take our kids definitely.

Those feelings you described remind me of the trip we took to Europe. We were lucky enough to go for a month and spend time just eating lots, drinking, exploring, and being together. It was our first overseas trip. Well and a month, unmarried, will make or break you ;) But it made us...and I daydream all.the.time about going back...but mainly to Cinque Terre, Italy. We got engaged there and it is the most perfect place.
Your honeymoon looks wonderful! We definitely want to try all-inclusive. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories :)
